Unauthorised use of the title is punishable by criminal law.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-heading stk-block-heading stk-block-heading--v2 stk-block stk-b4d246a\" id=\"the-advice-given-by-a-company-lawyer-to-his-or-her-employer-is-confidential\" data-block-id=\"b4d246a\"><style>.stk-b4d246a .stk-block-heading__bottom-line{height:1px !important;width:50px !important;background-color:var(--theme-palette-color-8, #ffffff) !important;margin-top:15px !important;}.stk-b4d246a {margin-bottom:0px !important;}<\/style><h5 class=\"stk-block-heading__text\">The advice given by a company lawyer to his or her employer is confidential.<\/h5><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-text stk-block-text stk-block stk-8dea5bf\" id=\"the-advice-given-by-a-company-lawyer-to-his-or-her-employer-is-confidential\" data-block-id=\"8dea5bf\"><style>.stk-8dea5bf {margin-bottom:15px !important;}<\/style><p class=\"stk-block-text__text\">This confidentiality is the necessary condition for the correct execution of the duty of company lawyer. The company lawyer can only properly fulfil his or her task as an independent advisor of the company if he or she can communicate his\/her advice in confidence. This procedure is detailed in the IBJ-IJE&#8217;s <strong>deontology rules<\/strong>, which have been established by <strong>Royal Decree<\/strong>. Disciplinary power is exercised in the first instance by the Disciplinary Committee.
