Summary of the conditions applicable to membership fees for the Institute of Corporate Lawyers (IJE)

Adopted by the IJE Council on 15 December 2020, amended on 7 December 2023, and based on the Act of 1 March 2000, the Rules of Procedure, the Code of Ethics and the decisions of the IJE General Assembly or Council

  • Membership fee amounts:
    • Members (in-house lawyers): €414 (€394 if the company or group has at least 30 members; €207 in the first year if membership is approved by the Council after 31 August)
    • Associate members: €350
    • Associate members – paralegals: €250
  • Payment deadline: 60 days from the invoice date
  • Membership is for an indefinite period, until the member resigns
  • The annual membership fee is payable in full, even if the member has only been active for part of the year (e.g. in the event of resignation during the year or suspension of activity for several months)
  • The member is responsible for ensuring the invoice is paid, even if it is addressed to their employer
  • In the event of non-payment following a reminder, the membership fee will be invoiced directly to the member and, where appropriate, debt recovery measures, disciplinary proceedings and/or the member will be deemed to have resigned.
  • Members are required to notify the IJE immediately of any changes to their details or circumstances (such as a change of employer or role, or changes to their work or home contact details, etc.)
