Act of 1 March 2000 establishing the Institute of company lawyers
The Institute of company lawyers (IBJ-IJE) was established by the Act of 1 March 2000 (as amended by the Acts of 19 May 2010, 14 March 2023 and 7 April 2023), which defines, among other things, the functioning of the Institute, the conditions for becoming a company lawyer and the confidentiality of the advice given by company lawyers.

Code of ethics for company lawyers as of 1 March 2025
The deontological rules for company lawyers are laid down in the code of ethics approved by the General Assembly on 14 November 2024 and in force since 1 March 2025 (replacing the code of 19 June 2001).
Guidelines of 20 October 2025 on the use of AI
The Council has adopted guidelines to support company lawyers in the responsible and legally compliant use of (generative) AI, in accordance with their Code of Ethics.
